Resort Hotels & Resort Destinations
A resort hotel is a full service lodging establishment located in a place frequented by people for relaxation or recreation. The difference between hotels and resort hotels are the services and amenities that are offered for guests that attract them. Most resort hotels are luxury oriented expanding over numerous acres. Some resort hotels are located in secluded areas or even islands. Major destination resort areas are sometimes owned by a single company and can be comprised of many hotels and attractions. Such an example is the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas or the theme park resorts at Disney World or Disneyland. Other resort destinations, such as Las Vegas, are made up of hotels each owned by different companies.
