NHA | Certified Phlebotomy Technician 

A Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) draws blood from patients or donors in hospitals, blood banks, or similar facilities for analysis or other medical purposes. A CPT may perform some or all of the following duties. However, they are not limited to just these responsibilities:

• Assembles equipment and disposable containers for needles
• Tests for drug levels in the blood
• Looks for abnormal cells in the body and body fluids
• Performs complex chemical, biological, and microscopic tests
• May conduct patient interviews and take vital signs
• Performs basic Phlebotomy procedures
